A bit more About Therapy with Me

I believe authenticity is important, so let me tell you a little about who I am.

In addition to my passion for yoga I love to travel, I enjoy art and ridiculously good wine. I feel most at home by the sea. I am a wife and mum of three amazing humans.

I’m warm, straight-talking and involved.

You will learn what’s happening in your brain and body, and will gain practical tools where appropriate.

You’ll learn how your nervous system works.

Why you respond the way you do.

What your triggers mean.

And how to build the internal safety and self-trust you’ve been craving.

The Bridge between Therapy & Yoga

The Mind–Body Connection Is a Bridge to Healing.
When you’ve been through loss, trauma, or feeling low, anxious or stressed, it doesn’t just affect your thoughts. It shows up in your body. You can feel this in the body, maybe a tight chest, shallow breathing, constant tension, exhaustion, gut issues, sleep problems.
You can talk yourself in circles.
You can understand why you feel the way you do.
But still not feel any better.
That’s because healing isn’t just in the mind. It lives in the body too.

“You can’t separate the mind from the body, nor can you treat one without the other.”
Dr. Gabor Maté

Your brain and body are in constant conversation. When something overwhelming happens, even years ago your nervous system remembers.
It holds the stress like a reflex: on edge, on guard, stuck in survival mode.
This is why I offer the bridge of emotional and body regulation as a part talking therapy.
In EMDR & CBT therapy you will use some of these bridges; for example guided relaxation, grounding and breath work tools. To truly heal, we need to include the body.

What I Offer
I use gentle, body-based practices that work directly with the nervous system:
Breathwork to calm and anchor you
Somatic Yoga to release and reconnect you
Guided Relaxation to help your system feel safe again
These tools are evidence based and science-backed to help you feel safer in your body.

“The body keeps the score… we must find ways to also involve the body in healing.”
— Dr. Bessel van der Kolk

This Is Why I Do What I Do
Because thinking isn’t enough.
Because you deserve to feel safe, steady, and whole again.
Because your healing is not just about your mind—but in your body too.
